About Hollis 

Hollis H. Churchill is a multidisciplinary artist studying sculpture and architecture at Bennington College. Her work explores the intersection of form and function, questioning how meaning emerges in the creative process. With a research-driven approach, she collects materials, studies historical precedents, and embraces both frustration and contemplation as integral parts of making. Prioritizing sustainable practices, she often works with textiles, drawn to their connection to domestic labor and gendered craft traditions. Through minimal color palettes and architecturally informed compositions, her work invites viewers to consider the relationships between material, labor, and structure.
